Lovesac, Jessie James and Crawfish Brains!

For the next few weeks we have teamed up with Island Def Jam for the opportunity to hang out with their newest pop start Jessie James.  We will travel with Jessie and her crew on an old-fashioned radio promotional tour.  For those of you who don’t know that means that we will be hitting 2-4 radio stations everyday where Jessie meets and performs for radio personalities on air and program directors across the country trying push her new single “Wanted”.  Our first day we all gathered in a little lounge inside the radio stations office and watched Jessie play 3 songs.  THIS GIRL CAN SING!  What an amazing talent, I was completely blown away.  You can check Jessie James out on her myspace (http://www.myspace.com/jessiejamesmusic).  After the first performance we headed to Houston where we picked up two Lovesac all stars Mike Shelton and Alex Rhodeen.  They joined the party while we traveled through Louisiana over the next 2 days hitting up Lafayette, Baton Rouge and New Orleans.  Jessie has some relatives that live about an hour outside of Baton Rouge who invited us all over for a crawfish boil.  No trip to Louisiana is complete without sucking the brains from a crawfish head.  You can see both Alex and Mike go to town on some crawfish in the pictures to the left.  We had more crawfish then we knew what to do with, spread them out on a table and dug in!   Once we were all full we went inside and the family gathered around Adam and Alex (Jessie’s two guitar players) and sang songs.  We all woke up early to hit 2 radio stations; Jessie killed it again, and spent the night exploring New Orleans the right way.  Jessie played with us on the intercom while we drove through the city spreading love and amplifying the noise coming from a Whoopie Cushion.  Done in Louisiana Mike and Alex jumped off the tour and now the bus is headed to Alabama.
