Leaving LoveSac headquarters one rainy spring evening a couple of years ago, I heard a strange whimpering from around the corner, where people take their smoke breaks. Huddled down against the brick was this weird animal that looked like a living, breathing mop head. Upon further inspection, I realized that it was actually just a little dog, but it had fur unlike any I had ever seen before. I couldn't help but touch it--its fur was so strange to the touch. He looked at me with those big round eyes as if to say, "Take me home with you." I figured he wouldn't get along too well with my two dim-witted Chihuahuas, so I adopted him as LoveSac's official pet at HQ instead, giving him a place to live upstairs and a mother-of-pearl-buttoned collar. The next day I followed Bob Barker's advice and took him to get "fixed," but when the vet opened him up, there was only fleece inside....a blanket-dog!? Realizing that his obvious lack of organs made it impossible for him to pass on his unlikely genetic code, I decided to take matters into my own hands. This blanket-dog must be shared with the world! I whisked him off to the magical LoveSac factory and made hundreds of exact replicas, naming each one after their sterile father. Meet Nooder, the newest addition to the strange family called LoveSac's other comfy stuff.
We've finally finished a project that has been in the making for over two years now. It may not seem like much, but developing completely unique and original twists on things in order to make them LoveSac-worthy just gets harder and harder because, as many will tell you, "It's all been done before."
Nooder the Blanket Dog is available exclusively at lovesac, is our latest incomparable creation--actually collaboration, with the award-winning Zoobies, that is just finally reaching our store shelves for Easter, 2010. For years now, we at LoveSac have been developing various products to allow people of all ages and wallet-sizes to share the love. Its not every day that you need the $2000 TV room home makeover that we specialize in, and I've found that my own daughter, Lucky, strangely has no interest in my furniture designs at all. THIS thing, however, she would not put down from the minute I brought home the first sample for a little product testing.
Kids (and even some adults) just just love stuffed animals. LoveSac makes comfy stuff. But if we're going to make a stuffed animal to hang with our Sactionals and our other washable, changeable, modular inventions, it would have to be much more than just your average stuffed animal. By combining Zoobies patented technology of the pillow-blanket-animal concept with our obsession for the progressive application of home textiles, this blanket dog is by far the most unique on the planet--a hallmark of LoveSac design. The fabric of choice, "mop terry," is typically only found used on specialized bath-mats or car polish mitts. It is not an easy fabric to work with, from a construction standpoint--hence the two years in development, but the result is truly amazing!!! THIS IS A GIFT YOUR KID WON'T PUT DOWN, and what's better, YOU won't be able to stop petting it. Nooder's fur has such a unique texture, and is so soft, that there is really nothing like it.
On the practical side, should your power and heat ever get knocked out for a week, like ours did in Connecticut last month, just open up Nooder's backside and his guts spill out...a LoveSac-print fleece throw blanket, big enough to cuddle with.

Every few months I like to post a new crop of customer emails, videos, etc. I always feel a little funny about it because of their being filled with blatant praise and enthusiasm for me and/or our products, but hey--I can't make this stuff up....
Connor is a 13-year-old from Summit, New Jersey who clearly has one of the coolest moms on the planet. She hooked him up with a 12 Base 10 Side "Moon Pit" Sactionals Configuration in (what might be our sickest, and surely most expensive Cover) MINK PHUR. They purchased it last month from one of our most talented crew of Sac'rs, Jesann and Josh at LoveSac Bridgewater Commons, NJ.
It seems that Connor is more than just a discerning furniture and design maven. Connor is a budding entrepreneur, with plans to get into fashion design and someday run his own business. I have no doubt he will succeed. I mean, if I can do it, anyone can (trust me--at 13 I was busy just trying to work the ladies with my pegged Girbauds and mullet in Jr. High School. With any kind of vision for the future, Connor is halfway home. Check out his new game room on this quick YouTube clip...

Heya,
the name's Jordan. I'm originally from a small town in California called Milpitas, you should know, there once was a Lovesac store in the mall there. I was just a kid when Lovesac first came to my mall. I spent hours upon hours in the store, day after day, just relaxing in the different sacs. The employee's would always greet me with a charming welcome back message almost everyday. I loved it, they made me feel so at home! Sadly, the day came when Lovesac closed its doors in my mall and I was heart broken. My world was gone. Imagine being a kid and having something around you that you knew made you happy, and then having it taken away and you dont know why. That thing was the demo Lovesacs on display for me. They were there day after day, and then POOF, gone. It's been seven years now and I have been on a search to find some piece of furniture in the world that could even compare to the joy I felt when I sat in a true Lovesac and you'll be glad to know that no such piece of furniture out there exists. Currently, I'm attending Humboldt State University in Eureka, in Northern California (the only region of California that currently does not have it's own Lovesac store.) Though I have made the effort to drive to both the stores in Southern California (minus the newest one, but I plan to drive to see that one in the coming weeks.) Truth be told, I love Lovesac. I know Lovesac. Hell, I'd jump through a ring of fire and more just to work for Lovesac. I just recently bought The BigOne package and although only one part of the set has showed up, it still has me in dire anticipation every single day. Soon, I'll be the proud owner of an authentic Lovesac and it only took seven years hah. I just thought I'd share with you how much Lovesac means to me. Thanks for being awesome and creating such a hardcore laid back company.

Hi there, I sold loveSacs in Bay Area about 5 yrs ago. As soon as youngest child left for BYU. I left and came back home to UK.? my son took his Sac and puppy fur cover with him ,( naturally! ) It's been dragged all over Provo, into atleast 3 different " student houses" ! Can you only imagine how it looks !!! ? Well, Nathan ( my son ) is getting married , Jan, 2nd. So, he took the cover to get it cleaned ! the women asked, "Do you have animails?" "No," my son answears, quisically? "Oh just that
it had quite a smell to it ?"oh yea, thats off my roomates" Somethings I wish he didn't share with me! YUK! He said, "It cleaned up beautifuly" . Thank Heavens! His poor little wife never needs to know the nasty facts about the Sac.Thought I'd share! LOL!

While Thousand Oaks, California, may not be New York, Chicago, or even L.A., it may in fact be our best LoveSac location. That is, walking down the middle of the mall, you will walk by COACH, APPLE, LOVESAC, AND LUCKY BRAND stores.
No question there are bigger cities. No doubt there are bigger malls. But The Oaks (in Thousand Oaks--how clever) is no slouch.
While this store looks a lot like our stores of late, there are a few major features that are new. Notice the $1000 two-sided frame hanging in the window. That thing weighs like $100 lbs.
Also in this Thousand Oaks LoveSac Store, while we still hung hundreds of frames on the wall, with photos of our LoveSac lifestyle and history pics, we used different color frames within every room in order to separate the rooms.
Another feature of this Thousand Oaks store is the addition of rug racks! While most people may not be terribly impressed by rugs hanging on the wall, for me, hanging them was like playing with a new toy. We have actually been selling rugs for some time now, at LoveSac, but we have never displayed them well. Our rugs are AMAZING, and make a great addition to any LoveSac media room or home theater. These rugs have been hand picked to match your Sactionals or Sacs, and they will really complete your media room furniture collection.
It is all of the little things that make this store a bit different. In this store even the hanging art is framed, as you can see here in this photograph of the "loft" area of the store. I feel it makes a big difference.
In the back of the store we have the typical LoveSac Media Room, however this LoveSac Media Rooom will be anything but typical. Not only are all of the frames in this room blacked out, but The Oaks will be our only store with a Control 4 home automation system. It will be a good fit for our brand.
Typically, I do not like the cash-wrap in the back of the store, but in designing this store, I had no choice. The shape and width of this store presented a few challenges...but overall, I'm pretty happy with it. The Custom Order area, which is normally in the front of the store, had to be placed in the rear of this store. Overall, I think we've come a long way since our days in Salt Lake. A HUGE thanks to Alex, Brian, Torin, James, Nate, Jesann, Doreen, Amy, Michelle, and the entire crew who made this one happen.
But, forget the store buildout. The most important thing is the staff. Our new Manager, Michelle, and the whole new crew at Thousand Oaks are surely gonna blow it up. I feel like Michelle is a true Sac'r....almost like she's been with us for years. Expect good things from this crew. Check out the video and get to know em. If you're in the area, go see em!
