The road from Teas to anywhere is a long road. Kai jumped on board and we made the long trek to LoveSac at Cottonwood Mall in Albuquerque New Mexico where Alex joined up with us for our Front Line visits to Andy & Crew. I must say, this is the best I've ever seen our New Mexico store look, and I'm pretty sure it is the best New Mexico staff we've ever had.
I think these guys are actually in the running to win the white glove merchandising contest we're running amongst the stores right now.
For those of you who haven't followed, I am currently on my "Front Line" tour of all of the LoveSac stores, where I work in each store, personally, do some merchandising, some training, and get to know everyone on the staff. It is one of the hightlights of my year. One of the things we do at each stop is to make some silly video, which we then splice into the in-store video that plays in every store nationwide. If you were not able to decipher what was happening in the above photo on the left, you will just have to get to a LoveSac store in 2009 to see the full video. Basically, though, the staff all became Sactionals Sides and had a game of dodge ball. Not so funny until you see them try to pick up their balls off the floor wearing these costumes. Good entertainment.
Shortly after making the in-store video, we adjourned to the LoveSac bus for a little brand-training session and some mayhem. We drove the bus to the nearest Sonic and ordered food at midnight. The Sonic workers were obviously a bit surprised to see the party they walked into on the bus, as evidenced by the videos below. Let's just say that the New Mexico crew knows how to get their freak on.
The crew at Cottonwood is truly cool. It is so good to have Jules back...yet another old-school Sac'r who has found her way back to the Sac this year. That seems to be an ongoing theme this year.
LOVESAC FLATIRON CROSSING, BOULDER/BROOMFIELD, COLORADO
Luckily, Alex was not afraid of the bus, so he drove most of the way up to Colorado. I actually got some "normal" work done. It seems like every one of these drives is just a bit longer than you think it is going to be. Of course, it does take like 30 minutes just to fill up the bus with gas. Never an easy feat.
Upon arrival at Flatiron Crossing LoveSac (Denver), we had to hit sales training immediately. We worked into the night. The legendary Wayne Vaughn, LoveSac's #1 Fan was there as well (shown with me, left). This year he brought his girlfriend, and he stayed for the entire staff training. Man, even the Flatiron staff is cool. We have Brook and Rich who have both been with LoveSac for more than 4 years now, and we just had Kelly come back after taking a year off. Once again, people just can't seem to stay away. This is a great thing.
After a late night of training on the bus, I returned the next day, the day before Thanksgiving, to completely re-work the store layout, re-hang some of the art, replace every single lightbulb, and generally get the place looking "right." It went well, but unfortunately I was not able to wrap it up until 2am on Thanksgiving Day! I had a couple of our best, most loyal Sac'rs hang with me to the bitter end. Thanks fellas. This only meant that I was (once again) going to get little or no sleep, and drive straight through to try to make it back to Salt Lake City for a littlle in-law Thanksgiving dinner....literally, just made it in time for the opening prayer.
A Happy Holidays to all of you, from the Front Lines of LoveSac. Thanks for reading.

Glad to see that everyone is having fun. I wish I was having fun but my sac that was ordered in October has not yet been delivered to me even though all other customers are guaranteed delivery before Christmas. WTF.
